BET Awards honor Quincy Jones, Al Green

The BET Awards 2008 played host to some of the industry's biggest names Tuesday night in Hollywood, while also paying homage to Quincy Jones , who received a Humanitarian Award, and Al Green , who received a Lifetime Achievement honor. As a part of the tribute to Green, Jill Scott and Anthony Hamilton covered some of his most beloved hits, while Green ended the tribute with a performance of "Let's Stay Together." The night's most talked-about performance came from pop princess Alicia Keys , who sang her hit "Teenage Love Affair." During the number, Keys, 27, brought out a reunited En Vogue and SWV with its original members. The surviving members of TLC, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, also joined Keys.

Chris Brown was one of the biggest winners, walking away with a Best Male R&B award; Keys won Best Female R&B artist; Best Group: UGK ; Best Gospel artist: Marvin Sapp ; Best new artist: The Dream ; Best Female hip-hop artist: Missy Elliott and Best Male hip-hop artist: Kanye West .
